You could say that the Pine-Richland High School Varsity Baseball Team earned two wins on April 11, 2019.

Senior Alec Swartout threw five innings with no hits as the Rams took on Allderdice at home. PR had beat the team 10-0. That wasn’t the only win for the team. The team won big by hosting Best Buddies Day the ballpark.

“Our players and our parents very much look forward to Best Buddies day at the ballpark every season,” said senior Alec Swartout. “It is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate an amazing and inclusive culture that exist in the PR schools and community.”

Through the Best Buddies program, students from the life-skills education program have opportunities to participate in sporting events, dances and other events. Some lasting bonds are formed.

The baseball team is on a roll. They also beat Central Catholic 10-0 on April 10, 2019.

The team would like to invite Pine-Richland students and families to Ram Fan Appreciation Day game on Thurs., April 25, at 4 p.m., at the PRHS Baseball Field. The field is located in between PRHS and PRMS, 100 Logan Rd. in Gibsonia.

Enjoy the game and free food, drinks, and fun as a means of community outreach and inclusion. This is not a fundraiser. The Rams will be taking on Seneca Valley.
