The Friends of the Northern Tier Library are proud to present their annual Authors Night on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Join us in supporting these local authors as they share their stories, answer questions and sign books. The evening will feature four local authors:
Abigail Drake writes women’s fiction, young adult fiction, and blogs about her naughty Labrador, Capone. Her newest book, Love, Chocolate, & a Dog Named Al Capone, is set in Beaver.
Donald Firesmith lives in Crafton, Pennsylvania and writes modern paranormal fantasy and apocalyptic science fiction. He has authored seven technical books, but his foray into fiction includes The Secrets of Hawthorne House.
Kathleen George is a professor of theatre and writing at the University of Pittsburgh. She has a series of procedural thrillers set in Pittsburgh, as well as The Johnstown Girls, her historical fiction novel about the Johnstown Flood.
Michael Meyer teaches nonfiction writing at the University of Pittsburgh and spends the off-season in Singapore. He first went to China in 1995 with the Peace Corps and is the author of the acclaimed The Last Days of Old Beijing.
The program will be about an hour long, followed by a question and answer session with refreshments. The authors will have copies of their books for sale and available to sign. Registration is recommended.
