The students, faculty and staff of Blessed Trinity Academy spent the week of January 26 through February 2nd celebrating all of the things that make their school special. The theme of this year’s Catholic Schools Week centered around the ideas of leadership, service, success, and learning and all of the activities that took place during the week tried to revolve around one of these themes. They raised money for Project Bundle Up and Eli Swierczewski, who is battling cancer, collected over 800 canned goods for North Hills Community Outreach, made over 300 sandwiches for the Red Door Program, welcomed Safety Personals for breakfast, and worked in teams and with their Bulldog Buddies on various games and activities. They welcomed Alex Alecci from WTAE and the Civic Light Opera for two special assemblies as well as had a special all school kickball game and the first Winter Classic Hockey Tournament. They ended the week with the annual Family Ice Skating Party and Soup Contest at the North Park Ice Rink. It was a week dedicated to not only creating fun memories, but also continuing to grow and strengthen their school community through service and collaboration.
