On March 17, 2019, Jesse Gonzalez, Ray Gonzalez, Ryan Jochims, and Kevin Zhou were recognized for earning the highest rank in Boy Scouts, Eagle Scout. A scout who earns the rank of Eagle Scout demonstrates scout spirit, leadership, and community service. An Eagle Scout must also complete an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.

Jesse Gonzalez’ Eagle Project was to build and install three flag retirement boxes in the community.

Ray Gonzalez’ Eagle Project was to build and install a flagpole for Salem United Methodist Church.

Ryan Jochims’ Eagle Project was to build and install a dock at Latodami Nature Center in North Park.

Kevin Zhou’s Eagle Project was to build and install storage cabinets for Animal Friends.
