• On Aug. 22, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., get help with technology. In a one-on-one 30 minute session, experts can focus on the skills you need. Topics include computer and internet basics, setting up an email, downloading books for your e-reader, using a tablet, downloading and using apps, using the library’s online catalog, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. Registration is required, in person or by telephone. Include the specific topics you need assistance with during registration.

• Do you knit, crochet or craft in any way? If not, would you like to learn? Knit Lit will meet Aug. 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. Beginners are invited to come and learn. Experienced crafters are invited to bring a project to work on. Everyone is encouraged to bring their latest read to talk about. Registration is requested.

• Visit the library on Sept. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to enjoy an afternoon of crafts, snacks and drinks to celebrate the beginning of a new school year with a bit of flair. Dress as fancy or as casual as you’d like and make some accessories to add to your backpack or lunchbox.
