Richland Township officials announced a number of cancellations on Friday in an effort to keep its staff and citizens safe and healthy amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Both the Northern Tier Library and the Richland Township Municipal Water Authority building will both be closed through March 30. Additionally, access to the township municipal building will be restricted beginning Monday, including all fitness classes. Anyone needing to reach the township should do so by phone at 724-443-5921 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Township and public works staff will be reporting to work during the closure. Sewer payments and permit applications are to be placed in the secure drop box outside the municipal building or paid online at www.richland.pa.us.
Both the planning commission meeting scheduled for Monday and the zoning hearing board scheduled for Tuesday are canceled. The board of supervisors meeting scheduled for Wednesday is still on at this time, but township officials ask that anyone attending practice safe social distancing measures. Hand sanitizer will be available and must be used by everyone who enters the room. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and the building will open for attendees at 6:45 p.m.
All rentals and youth recreation programs in Richland Park are canceled until further notice.
