Rabbi to speak at New Year’s Eve peace vigil hosted by Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh

The Benedictine Sisters of Pittsburgh are hosting a New Year’s Eve peace vigil Dec. 31 featuring a presentation by Rabbi Jonathan Perlman that will focus on “forgiveness through the lens of Judaism and Christianity.”
Vespers begin at 5 p.m. followed by a simple meal at 5:30. Both are optional.
A peace concert with music by Cynthia Kaledo & friends of the Pittsburgh Symphony starts at 6:15 p.m. followed by prayers and the presentation at 7 p.m.
A social with refreshments will follow.
Perlman is the spiritual leader of New Light Congregation-Ohr-Cadesh and serves as Palliative Care Chaplin for UPMC Shadyside Hospital.
