While there are plenty of options for fun this weekend, we’ve picked out three that might draw your interest.

Star Wars-themed Fall Festival

On Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the third annual Fall Festival: May the Force Be With You will be held at Stoneridge Covenant Church.

Together with your favorite Star Wars villains, enjoy this fall fun at Stoneridge Park and Stoneridge Church. Star Wars and fall themed crafts and activities will be held, meet and greet Stormtroopers, Jawas and who knows what other Star Wars bad guys will be there?

Stoneridge Covenant Church in Burchfield is at 811 Dressel Road, Allison Park, 15101.

Pine-Richland football

The Pine-Richland football team will try to stay undefeated as they travel to take on Central Catholic on Friday.

The Rams are 5-0 and have their sites set on another WPIAL title. But the Vikings, who are 4-2 on the season, are looking for the upset.

Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. and the game is scheduled to be played at Gesling Stadium on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University, 500 Forbes Ave., Pittsburgh.

Wines of Gibsonia presentation

Sept. 29 will make for a rare Sunday in Pittsburgh: no Steelers game. So why not head to Northern Tier Public Library for The Wines of Gibsonia, presented by Frank Mazzotta of Mazzotta Winery.

Take the opportunity to sample small-batch, handcrafted wines that were created right here in Gibsonia. The wines available for tasting will be: Cabernet, Pinot Grigio, Niagara (Silver Medal, Great American International Wine Competition), Mango (Gold Medal, Great American International Wine Competition), and Marionberry. To pair with the wine, the afternoon will include food stations featuring sweet and savory appetizers. The tasting will begin at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $30 per person and available at the library at 4015 Dickey Road, Gibsonia. For details or to register, call 724-449-2665.
